Typhoon Glass
StormShield®
StormShield® is a laminated safety glass specially formulated to resist excessive wind speeds and penetration from flying debris present during cyclones, hurricanes or typhoons. The glass is able to deflect up to 5 times its normal rate before breaking. Even when breakage of the glass occurs, glass pieces will remain adhered to the interlayer. With that, it maintains a water-tight environment even during extreme storms.
Testing & Certification
StormShield® was proven to be able to resist impact from a 4kg piece of timber (100mm x 50mm cross section) at over 44m/sec (160km/h) travelling lengthways without perforating the interlayer. It has been subjected to a series of hydrostatic pressure tests to withstand rising floodwaters prevalent in cyclonic weathers. It is ideal for shop-fronts, government buildings, and places that need to remain habitable immediately after a storm. The 10mm thick StormShield® has also withstood extreme test pressures of more than 12kPa, which equates to wind gusts in excess of 500km/h.

E-zone®
E-zone® is the premium variation of typhoon glass that comes with Low Emissivity glass for thermal insulation for a water-tight environment during extreme storms.

StormShield® and E-zone® are designed for maximum glazing protection from strong winds and flying debris during extreme storms, safeguarding lives and properties.
Acoustic Barrier
StormShield® and E-zone® have varying sound transmission control values between 35 and 40, making them a good building material for noise reduction.
Ultraviolet Screening
StormShield® and E-zone® block out 99% of the ultraviolet rays, reducing the fading of curtains and items placed near the windows.
